Electrical engineering student Madonnina Suresh of Roselle Park has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Anne Wiley Scholarship. Suresh was nominated by ECE Undergraduate Advisor Shivon Boodhoo. In her nomination letter, Boodhoo writes: "Madonnina supports younger women students and provides for them an outstanding role model - from their first campus visits to their daily transactions as NJIT students. She shows great promise as a future electrical engineer. She is in the upper tier of her cohort where she holds her own academically amongst her male peers who often look to her for tutoring in coursework." Established in 2003 in honor of the late Dean Anne Wiley, co-director of NJIT's Murray Center for Women in Technology, the scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to a NJIT undergraduate woman student.
