NJIT Celebration Set for Nov. 8, 2013

NJIT will hold Celebration, its annual black-tie benefit dinner, on Nov. 8, 2013 at the Pleasantdale Chateau, West Orange.  Event proceeds will provide endowed scholarship support.  A cocktail reception is set for 7 p.m. followed by dinner at 8 p.m.  Individual tickets start at $1000.  For more information please call Jacquelynn Rhodes, associate vice president, NJIT Advancement, 973-596-3407 jacquelyn.rhodes@njit.edu.

Celebration honors individuals for achievements beneficial to the state and nation.  Organizations exceptional for their commitment to NJIT’s mission are applauded.  Since 1995, many of NJIT’s most generous supporters have gathered annually for this event, which has raised over $4.3 million in scholarship endowment funds. 

The President’s Medal for Lifetime Achievement will be awarded to Anthony J. Sartor, PhD, chairman and chief executive officer of Paulus, Sokolowski & Sartor.  The Special Friend of the University Award will be given to Steven Plate, deputy chief of capital planning and director, World Trade Center Construction, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.  The Edward F. Weston Medal for Professional Achievement will be awarded to Anita Rubino, class of 1983, the owner of EVOS, Carrollwood Restaurant, Florida.  The Berger Group Holdings, Inc., Morristown will be named the NJIT Outstanding Corporate Partner of the Year.
