Some 200 Employers Will Recruit Students at the Fall Career Fair

Nearly 200 employers and 350 recruiters will attend the Fall Career, Co-op and Internship Fair-- the largest number of employers ever to attend a career fair at NJIT.  The employers will interview May graduates for full-time jobs and underclassmen for summer internships.  More than 2,000 students and alumni have already registered for the fair – that’s the largest amount ever at NJIT.   

WHO: Gregory Mass, the executive director of  Career Development Services who has 30 years’ experience in the field, will be available to talk about hiring trends for college graduates – what the job market is like and which academic majors are in demand.  He can also discuss what students must do get a hired in a competitive job market.  Recruiters will be available to comment on their hiring needs and NJIT students and alumni will be happy to talk about their job searches.  

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, from 12:30 to 5 p.m.

WHERE: The Fleisher Athletic Center and the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility, both on the campus quad. 

EMPLOYERS: The employers registered for the career fair represent a wide spectrum of industries and fields, such as engineering and architecture, manufacturing and information-technology, business and financial services, health services and communications as well as government and not-for profit agencies.  Among the major employers attending are AT&T, MTV, Colgate-Palmolive, L’Oreal, Bank of New York, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Company, ExxonMobil, Verizon, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
