Michael A. Wall Appointed as Executive Director of Constituent Relations

Michael A. Wall has been named as Executive Director of Constituent Relations in NJIT’s Office of University Advancement, effective March 31, 2014. Wall has a long record of volunteerism at NJIT, most recently as Vice Chairman of the university’s Board of Overseers; a member of the School of Management’s Advisory Board; and as Chairman of the Executive Dinner Committee for NJIT’s Celebration. In his new role, Wall will oversee the activities of the Office of Alumni Relations as well as several major gift development officers.

Prior to his NJIT appointment, Wall served as Executive Director of The Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that offers financing and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout New Jersey. He also is the Chief Executive and Founder of Wall Ventures LLC, which provides management consulting for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Wall has 15 years of experience in banking, most recently as the Senior Vice President for Capital One Bank and as a Regional Manager in New Jersey and Virginia. In this leadership position, Mike oversaw 40 branches and more than 300 associates.

In 2009, Wall was honored by NewBridge Services with their Helping People Move Forward award and the Financial Empowerment award from Newark NOW. In 2010 he was presented with an award from Brick City Development as part of their “Recognize Newark” ceremony for his work in advancing Newark’s economic development. He received his BA in political science from Drew University.
